Like all good Canadian ideas, illicit grew from an idea pitched at a late night Tim Horton's meet. From there, the dream of starting our clothing and media brand took off. From our official launch in May of 2019, we have set up shop at various shows and events. Our mission is to create an affordable, unique, and proudly Canadian brand, which incorporates ideas from all aspects of life.
The word illicit, which (among other things) means "going against standards; unacceptable or unapproved by society". We believe that our slogan, "Dare to be different; Dare to be illicit" perfectly embodies this. From our start in the automotive community, to expanding across other interests, we hope that everyone can find something that encourages them to be the best version of themselves!
